Joshua Dylan Petrin has been found guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the 2012 shooting death of 34-year-old Lorry Ann Santos. Santos was the victim of a gang hit gone wrong. The two men who committed the murder, Kyle Halbauer and Randy O'Hagan, were under Petrin’s orders.
Petrin was guilty of first-degree murder because he was an “aider and abettor” who planned the murder on behalf of a criminal organization and offered payment in the form of getting rid of a drug debt. A first-degree murder verdict carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.

Santos, married with four children, died when two gang members — ordered to kill a man who had left the gang — went to the wrong Saskatoon house. Santos died from a single gunshot wound to the heart. Santos’s youngest son was only five months old when she was killed.

Randy O'Hagan was connected to the White Boy Posse, an Alberta street gang that dealt drugs and whose members meted out violent retribution against anyone who got in their way. He wasn't a member but worked for the gang as a drug dealer.
Randy O'Hagan was convicted of first degree murder in the death of Lorry Anne Santos. He pled guilty to second-degree murder in connection to the Alberta killing of Bryan Gower in late 2015.
The White Boy Posse is considered a white supremacist gang and is thought to have 50 to 100 members in Edmonton and northern Alberta. The link to neo-Nazi youth skinhead gangs is not absolute. The gang is not about ideology but making money.
The gang has ties to the Hells Angels and their influence reaches from Yellowknife to Saskatoon to Medicine Hat. In late 2006, Edmonton police and RCMP jointly targeted the White Boy Posse in a case dubbed Project Goliath. That resulted in a series of raids around Edmonton, netting 17 members.

“Sloppy” shootings of unintended victims — like Lorry Anne Santos — are very bad for business for higher-level groups like the Hells Angels who control drug flow.
Street-level players like the White Boy Posse could soon find themselves cut adrift by their suppliers.
