Poland on alert as Hells Angels rally near Warsaw

Polish police are on alert as Hells Angels bikers from clubs across Europe and the United States gather near Warsaw for an annual meeting.

Officers could be seen searching the bags of Hells Angels members as they arrived Friday at the gates of a hotel resort in Rynia, 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of the capital. Amid fears of a surge of crime and violence during the Hell’s Angels World Run, being held from Friday to Sunday, Polish authorities have warned they will be watching the bikers closely. They expect about 1,000 bikers in total.

Last year the event was held in Greece where 3 Alberta Hells Angels beat a man to death.
